Key Responsibilities
Responsible for overseas communications that includes anticipation of needs in overnight correspondence
Approve and post vendor invoices and bill customers after shipment is complete
Tracking and tracing cargo to its destination
Interacting with customers, vendors and foreign agents
Responding in a timely manner to customer request on shipment status
Accurate, efficient preparation of all required paperwork for delay-free customs clearance.
Consistent excellence in Reliability, Professionalism and Teamwork
Maintaining current knowledge of seasonal, political or other factors that could cause delay
Records or files copy of orders received
Verifies shipping orders to ensure they are accurate with regards to quantity shipped; this is done by comparing shipping documents with computer generated reports.
Familiar with INCOTERMS 2000
Adhere to all company policies in areas of Compliance, QHSES, Code of Business Conduct, Employee Handbook, etc.
Ability to file for US Imports customs entry timely and efficiently
Comply with all safe work practices and procedures set in place by deugro
Adhere and enforce deugro QHSES Policy and Procedures
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Minimum 2 years of Customs Brokerage experience required
Experience with ocean, air, and cross border customs releases
Experience with PGA claim and disclaimer processes – minimum FDA, TSCA
Computer skills – Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Positive attitude and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced working environment
Multitasking Skills – Able to handle various assignments in daily coordination with overseas offices
Focus – Pay attention to the customer’s needs and commit to exceeding them
Creative thinking and open to new ideas
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED), some higher education preferred; and three to five years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
