The Copywriter/Community Manager is an integral part of both the Creative and accounts teams and provides all post copy for our clients. They work with the Account Managers to create the tone and voice for the client and subsequently ensure all captions are aligned with the established voice. This position also liaises with the internal creative team to write all scripted content for various assets. The Copywriter/Community Manager participates in all client brainstorming and maintains a high level awareness of client activities, key dates, and social trends.
In this role, they will be responsible for Community Management including overseeing part-time Community Managers. They will be responsible for scheduling coverage around the Broadway show schedule and relaying ideas from the Community Management team for the various casts to execute via the Account Manager. They will work under the direction of the Associate Director of Accounts + Account Manager and alongside the entire Marathon Digital team.
Copywriting
Create tone and voice guides for specific clients and maintain consistency across all copy.
Work with the Account Manager(s) to create post copy for all assets.
Script all video concepts that necessitate formal scripts.
Audit and update social profiles for clients on a quarterly basis.
Community Management
Handle daily engagement and inbox coverage across specific clients.
Facilitate 1:1 conversations across social channels to create connections between fans/Ticket buyers and our show.
Create social moments that live outside or adjacent to the Broadway space for maximum visibility.
Monitor online conversations and flag any timely concerns to the full team.
Remain culturally sensitive and aware to ensure client content is on top and ahead of social trends.
Ideate on content specifically for cast members to execute for TikTok/Reels.
Handle any/all customer service issues that are sent via social channels for all accounts.
Create sentiment recaps for client decks and major show moments for producers.
Oversee freelance coverage for additional community management shifts.
Internal Administration
Participate in creative brainstorms.
Create, update, and maintain company training guides and materials used in the Community Management employee onboarding process.
Liaise with both the Account team and the Creative team to ensure cohesiveness across campaigns and copy.
As needed, help with manual posting to social media platforms.
