What You’ll Do As a Service Writer with WCTractor, you will be the bridge between our customers and our service department. Success in this role comes from being reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating information in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities Building and maintaining strong customer relationships by managing service needs from start to finish Preparing accurate cost estimates, documenting required parts, identifying labor needs, and coordinating with Service Technicians Keeping customers and management informed on timelines, status updates, and repair details Translating customer concerns into clear, actionable information for the service team Maintaining customer and equipment records with accuracy and consistency Reviewing warranties and insurance details Monitoring upcoming service needs and following up with customers to schedule routine or needed maintenance Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous service, administrative, or customer-facing experience preferred General computer competency and comfort with basic software applications Strong communication and customer service abilities Solid record-keeping and organizational skills Ability to interpret customer descriptions and relay them clearly to technicians, even when information is limited or non-technical Our Mission & Story Since 1939, WCTractor has served Texas communities with honesty, integrity, and commitment.
