Core of the Heart
Live Events Producer for @JohnnyChangLive
Core of the Heart, Los Angeles, California, United States, 90079
Our Mission:
To create a global community that teaches people how to live a true spiritual life, helping them deepen their relationship with God and gain real peace.
Who You Are:
You are Mission-Driven:
You are genuinely excited to be part of our mission and understand how your work in creating live events directly contributes to helping our community get closer to God.
You are a Master of Logistics & Production:
You have verifiable experience in tour management and live event production. You've managed riders, routed tours, and handled the chaos of live events. You are a seasoned professional in this domain.
You are a Proactive Problem-Solver:
When a venue falls through, a flight is canceled, or a mic pack dies mid-show, you find a solution. You don't wait to be told what to do.
You are Obsessed with Details:
You check every rider, confirm every call time, and triple‑check every travel itinerary. You believe excellence is found in the small things, and in live events, you know the small things are everything.
You are a Skilled Negotiator & Communicator:
You can confidently and professionally represent our brand when booking venues, coordinating with pastors, and managing vendors. You build strong, respectful relationships.
Your Role: As our Live Events Producer, you are the architect and operator of our in‑person mission. You are responsible for producing our live events and creating a world‑class, welcoming experience for our community.
You will work directly with our leadership team to plan and execute everything from local church gatherings to multi‑city international tours.
You will be responsible for the entire live event lifecycle, from initial outreach and booking to on‑the‑ground production and post‑event wrap‑up. Flawless execution, professionalism, and creating a smooth experience for attendees is what you’ll be measured by.
Location: Must be US based. Los Angeles preferred. Open to potentially remote.
What You’ll Do:
Own all event & tour logistics, from routing and scheduling to booking venues, travel, and accommodations for the entire team.
Lead all pre‑production (tech riders, vendor contracts, run‑of‑show) and on‑site production, coordinating with vendors, volunteers, and partners to ensure a flawless technical and attendee experience.
Constantly build and nurture a global network of partners, churches, and venues to create a sustainable pipeline for future tours.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days): Objective 1: Successfully book and begin pre‑production for our 2026 event targets.
Our pace is about 1 free event per month. You’ll have very clear systems and processes to follow.
Key Result:
For each event: Secure and confirm a venue, date, and all core vendors for a target event 60 days before the event date.
Objective 2: Develop a scalable system for future event booking.
Key Result:
Create and deliver a “Live Event” package to be sent to at least 10 high‑potential churches or partners to build a booking pipeline.
Objective 3: Master the brand’s operational and communication standards.
Key Result:
Flawlessly manage all event‑related communications and logistics within our PM tools with 100% clarity and accountability.
2.) Successfully manage and run all the events in 2026.
Your Core Responsibilities (These should be A‑Player outcomes, not just tasks):
Tour & Location Scouting:
Proactively research, contact, and negotiate with churches, event spaces, and external partners to build and route multi‑city tours (domestically and internationally).
End‑to‑End Production:
Manage all event logistics: create production schedules, manage budgets, coordinate A/V, lighting, and staging requirements, and handle all vendor contracts.
On‑Site Management:
Serve as the on‑the‑ground lead during events, managing run‑of‑show, coordinating teams, and acting as the primary point of contact for all partners.
Vendor & Partner Relations:
Be the professional face of our brand, building strong, long‑term relationships with pastors, event staff, and technical suppliers.
Travel & Logistics:
Book and manage all travel, accommodation, and transport for the entire team for all live events.
Post‑Event Wrap‑Up:
Handle post‑event breakdown, final vendor payments, and conduct after‑action reviews to improve the next event.
Our Core Values:
God Above All Else:
You’re keen on growing spiritually. The Gospel and God guide every business decision, ensuring that all actions progress the Kingdom.
200% Accountability:
OVER COMMUNICATE. Every team member must complete their commitments or communicate proactively. If there ever is the lingering thought that something isn’t getting done, it means you or your team isn’t communicating enough.
Sense of Urgency:
You move with purpose and speed without sacrificing quality. You don’t wait for perfect conditions, you take action, iterate, and improve along the way. When opportunities arise or problems surface, you address them immediately rather than putting them off. Time is precious, and you treat it that way in everything you do.
Come with solutions, not problems:
You were placed in your role because we believe you can run it best. Be a leader and use every resource and tool available to you to get things done. Create solutions to problems, instead of asking for constant help.
Attention to Detail:
You’re obsessive and pay attention to the little things. Greatness comes from consistency compounded over time. You like turning over every stone when it comes to learning or problem solving. You’re always 2 steps ahead.
Non‑negotiable Requirements (Skills & Experience)
MUST have 3+ years of verifiable experience in live event production and/or tour management.
A proven portfolio or list of past events, tours, or productions that you have successfully managed.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Ability to remain calm and solve complex logistical problems under extreme pressure.
Willingness and ability to travel (both domestically and internationally) as required for certain events.
Must be proficient in the following:
ClickUp (or similar PM tool)
Google Drive & G‑Suite
Event booking/management software
Must be a systems‑builder who can create and follow checklists for repeatable, flawless event execution.
This Role Is NOT For You If:
You are concerned about when work ends.
You have never managed events with over a thousand attendees.
You need lots of hand‑holding & oversight.
You are not great at communicating across a remote team.
You are bad at time management.
You have never done this role before and think you can accomplish this based on “work ethic” or “similar experience”.
You prefer comfort over growth (we all work extremely hard).
Compensation: Part‑time monthly retainer: $2,500–$3,500 depending on complexity of events that month.
Opportunities for the rate to increase if you are the right A‑player.
We run about 1 live event per month, if not less. We have a lot of systems in place so you will have a lot of guidance. It's easy work for anyone that has experience.
How to Apply: Please follow all the steps on the application page.
Make sure that you include undeniable proof that you have thrown large events successfully and know how to expertly route tours.
Ultimately, we want to see that you have done this job before at the highest level.
If your experience is not made clear in your application submission, we will politely pass over your application quickly.
