Job Title: Technical Writer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Writer to join our team and focus on the complete creation of product and service documentation for a new product line. This role involves working closely with our development team on-site to produce essential documentation compliant with the Machinery Directive and Pressure Equipment Directive.
Responsibilities

Create and maintain Quick Start Guides for quick and intuitive commissioning.

Develop comprehensive and precise Operating Manuals for end-users, operators, and installers in strict adherence to the requirements of the Machinery Directive and Pressure Equipment Directive.

Ensure compliance with relevant US American norms and standards, such as ANSI.

Produce documentation in Source American English (US English) with translations in over 30 languages.

Collaborate with the development team to produce documents such as Quick Start Guides, digital operating manuals, service documents, spare parts lists, service manuals, and repair manuals.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in content management systems such as Author IT.

Experience with graphic tools like Arbortext IsoDraw or Adobe Illustrator.

Strong technical writing skills, particularly in product documentation.

Familiarity with electronic and hardware engineering concepts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in creating documentation for fluid exchange machines.

Knowledge of compliance requirements for the Machinery and Pressure Equipment Directives.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Owatonna, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
