Teaching (Primary Role)
- Teach a 4/4 undergraduate course load across our three campuses (Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island).
- Deliver face-to-face instruction, with additional opportunities for hybrid and online modalities.
- Engage students in meaningful and interactive learning experiences across the Communication Studies curriculum.
- Maintain an active scholarly agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or pursuit of extramural funding.
- Mentor undergraduate students in applied research projects, fostering academic and professional growth.
- Participate in shared governance by contributing to departmental, programmatic, and university-wide initiatives.
- Advise and mentor students, serve on academic committees, and engage in professional service activities.
- Demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching and curriculum development.
- Show a strong potential for scholarly contributions in Communication Studies.
- Bring a commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and engaged learning environment.
- Be prepared to collaborate across disciplines and support program growth.
- A Ph.D. in Communication Studies or closely related field (ABD candidates considered if degree will be completed by start date).
- Evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
- A demonstrated or emerging record of scholarship and professional engagement.
