Position Overview
Adjunct Faculty members teaches Humanities courses for the Music, Theater and Dance Department. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.
What you will be doing
Teaches lecture and laboratory sections Evaluates and advises students Participates in departmental and College affairs Recruits students Serves on committees Develops Curricula Performs other duties as assigned What you need to succeed
Master's degree in discipline (humanities) or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a total of 18 graduate semester hours in at least three of the Humanities disciplines (Art, Dance, Literature, Music, Theatre, Philosophy, or Humanities). Must possess excellent communication skills Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments Preferences
