Position Summary We are currently seeking a Studio Leader to join our Landscape Architecture team in our Charlotte office. In this role, you will lead exciting projects from start to finish, manage budgets and teams, guide the creative process, and collaborate with clients and sub-consultants. You will mentor and support studio staff and help grow our business through client relationships and new opportunities. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage project budgets and schedules. Lead project teams through permitting, design and construction activities. Lead and manage design projects of varying types and sizes, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Prepare landscape plans, specifications, and renderings. Coordinate and direct sub-consultants and project designers. Develop design ideas and solutions from concept through construction. Participate in marketing and business development: proposal writing, interview presentations, and client relationship management. Supervise studio staff: interview, hire, coach, manage performance, conduct reviews, provide feedback. Review timesheets for proper billing and ensure production target metrics. Apply independent judgment on new and special assignments. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and jurisdiction reviewers. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field. Typically 8–15+ years of progressive related experience plus supervisory experience. Proficiency in Auto, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and VantagePoint. Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license in North. Advanced knowledge of free-hand and digital rendering. Knowledge of local plant materials and jurisdictional permitting/approval processes.
