This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and remote from home.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers and designers in high and extra high voltage substation design to prepare General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views (Elevations), Detailed Bills of Material, Lightning Stroke Shielding Plans, Grounding Plans, Conduits, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details, Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plans, and Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Sections.

Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.

Conduct walkdowns at client substation facilities.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology, or a high school diploma with 2+ years of 3D drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.

Minimum of 8 years preparing 3D substation models and physical design experience.

Proficient using 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Inventor.

Familiarity with Bentley Substation Design and/or SDS.

Ability to visualize substation equipment and prepare a 3D model.

Strong follow-through with CAD standards.

Valued Knowledge / Skills

Associate’s Degree in Computer-Aided Design.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.

Ability to use BlueBeam to create a BOM count, review, and self-check drawings.

Compensation Range $63,480.00 - $99,080.00
