Senior Substation Physical Designer 1 -- Grid
Join the Sargent & Lundy team as a Senior Substation Physical Designer 1 -- Grid. We offer a hybrid work schedule with a mix of office and remote work.
Responsibilities
Design substation drawings: General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views (Elevations), Detailed Bill of Material, Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan, Grounding Plan, Conduit/Connection Details, Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan.
Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting and Grounding Plans and Sections.
Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
Perform walkdowns at client facilities.
Apply client standards related to the work.
Qualifications
10+ years of substation physical design experience.
Associate’s Degree in Drafting, or high school diploma with 2+ years drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.
Valued Knowledge/Skills
Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Design.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, relating equipment to technical design.

Compensation Range $74,750.00 - $115,120.00
