Salary Expectation: $22.38 – $27.97 per hour (commensurate with experience and education)

Position Summary
The Video Developer is primarily responsible for creating instructional videos for flexible delivery. The focus is on designing and developing flexible curriculum‑based videos for faculty and staff to deliver virtual (flexible) student instruction. Responsibilities include designing and producing college videos upon request and providing an exceptional customer service experience to internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

Duties
(90%) Instructional Video Production
- Create, produce, and direct flexible course training videos
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, and students in producing videos
- Produce and consult with faculty on flexible delivery projects
- Provide digital video camera operation, lighting, audio, and editing services for videos
- Assist faculty and staff using video equipment
- Maintain internal college records – data management of production files
- Maintain inventory of all saleable items in the department
- Comply with internal and external video standards
- Maintain video, audio, and computer editing equipment
(10%) College‑Wide Video Production
- Create, produce, and direct college‑wide videos
- Coordinate with department in producing videos
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related discipline required
- Two to four years of relevant occupational experience required
- Two to three years’ experience in non‑linear editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere) preferred
- Two to three years’ experience using mirrorless DSLR cameras and film lighting/audio equipment preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Lakeshore’s mission, vision, and strategic direction
- Knowledge of basic still photography, multimedia productions, and Mac operating system
- Knowledge of professional video production, lighting, and graphic design
- Knowledge of video/audio pre‑production, production, and post‑production
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with computer and editing software such as Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects, and knowledge of video codecs, video compression, and color correction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
