Analyst – Documentation Specialist
Location Madison, WI (Remote)
Job Type Contract – 6 months (12/22/2025 – 06/30/2026)

Description Documentation Specialist: A professional responsible for creating, organizing, and managing essential documents across an organization. They ensure that all content is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible for staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Create and edit documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, policy documents, training materials, and reports.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and cross‑functional teams to gather information and ensure documentation is accurate and up‑to‑date.
Manage the document lifecycle by organizing, maintaining, and version‑controlling a structured document management system.
Ensure compliance and quality by reviewing and proofreading all materials for clarity, grammar, and accuracy.
Improve accessibility by organizing information logically and developing document templates and standards to increase efficiency and consistency.
Assist with training by supporting the development of training resources and potentially training staff on documentation processes and tools.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in document creation, editing, and management, preferably within a relevant industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, translating complex information into simple, understandable language.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient with document creation software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat) and experience with document management systems (DMS) and content management systems (CMS).
Strong organizational, time‑management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, handling confidential information discreetly.
