What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and support communications plans and materials tailored for American Indian and Alaska Native audiences
- Engage in community outreach and partnership programs to enhance engagement strategies
- Collaborate with project teams to execute and evaluate communication programs
- Support earned media activities and social media engagement efforts
- Contribute to creative campaign development aimed at Tribal nations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or related fields, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of directly applicable experience in a communications or PR agency setting
- Registered member of a federally recognized indigenous tribe
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3+ years of directly applicable experience in communications
- Lived experience on a reservation
- Proven experience in executing health-related and behavior change campaigns
- Knowledge of engaging with federal and state-level agencies
- Ability to write content for various channels, including social media and collateral materials
