Apex Systems is hiring: Social Media Coordinator in Chesterfield

Social Media Coordinator – Freelance position for a 4‑month maternity leave, 40 hours/week until March 2026. Hybrid onsite role; must be local to St. Louis, MO. In this role you will own the execution of our social media presence across multiple platforms, blending hands‑on content creation with strategic planning. You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing team to bring our brand voice to life, engage our community, and help us grow our digital footprint. Key Responsibilities Develop engaging content including reels, stories, and posts aligned with the content calendar. Collaborate with in‑house designers for visual assets. Write compelling copy in the brand’s voice. Coordinate photoshoots and other content needs. Partner with the marketing team to build and manage a social content calendar. Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and customer inquiries, providing timely responses and engagement. Analyze social media performance metrics to report on effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed. Work with the agency/marketing team to activate brand ambassadors and influencers. Use Sprout Social Listening to monitor paid campaigns and social channels for customer feedback, comments, and complaints – escalating to customer service when necessary. Engage with community partners by resharing and amplifying content. Lead social media execution across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn). Qualifications 1+ year of experience in a Social Media focused role. Excellent communicator with a "can do" attitude. Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset. Creative thinker with storytelling instincts and an eye for trends. Bonus if you have previous Sprout Social experience. In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
