Salary is commensurate with rank and credentials. The role is non‑renewable and may be assigned up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer sessions, depending on enrollment and staffing needs.

Duties and Tasks

Teach specific courses in Photography, both in‑person and online.

Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.

Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.

Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of GCC and the VCCS.

Maintain current competence in the discipline of Photography.

Essential Functions Provide quality instruction, meet assigned classes regularly, submit required records and reports, teach prescribed courses with established texts, and uphold professional ethics in accordance with College policies.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Photography.

Ability to teach both face‑to‑face and online classrooms.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Proficiency in instructional technology.

Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.

Additional Considerations

Prior teaching experience.

Work experience in the field of Photography.

Experience with online teaching and developing synchronous and asynchronous courses at a regionally accredited institution.
