Design Lead
for our client, the world’s leading supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems in Petaluma, CA!
This is a full-time, direct-hire position based onsite in Petaluma. POSITION OVERVIEW In this pivotal role, you'll specialize in designing high-volume custom magnetics, integrating electronic, magnetic, thermal, structural, and cost considerations into a comprehensive multi-physics optimization process. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design and development of medium-voltage ( Collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and successful product delivery. Drive innovation in magnetics design, leveraging your expertise to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability. Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from concept through prototyping to production, ensuring high-quality standards and reliability. QUALIFICATIONS PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. 10+ years of specialized experience in magnetics, with a focus on medium-voltage isolated transformer design—preferably ferrite-based solutions. Demonstrated leadership in magnetic design, with a strong track record of innovation and technical excellence. Deep knowledge of multi-physics optimization and magnetics manufacturing processes. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This full-time position offers an annual base salary range of $200-275k, commensurate with experience.
