GIS Analyst
to join our team supporting the White Sands Missile Range. Key Responsibilities
Spatial Data Management:
Manage and maintain the ESRI enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE multi-user environment), ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Product Generation:
Produce high-quality maps, reports, and spatial data to meet the diverse needs of Garrison and Test customers. Data Acquisition & Processing:
Collect, process, and integrate GPS data using Trimble and Garmin hardware/software. Data Maintenance:
Perform advanced data entry and correction from various sources, including aerial photography, spreadsheets, and legal descriptions. Web GIS Development:
Develop, maintain, and manage ArcGIS for Server web applications and Esri Portal content to enhance accessibility for end-users. Technical Support:
Serve as a subject matter expert, providing hands‑on support and training for ArcGIS Pro, Portal, and GPS integration to internal customers. Emergency Support:
Provide essential GIS support to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during exercises and real‑world emergencies. Required Qualifications
Clearance:
Must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance at the time of hire. Experience: Minimum of
3 years
of daily, hands‑on experience utilizing the ArcGIS Product Suite (10.x and ArcGIS Pro). Minimum of
5 years
of overall professional experience in Geography or a closely related field. Proven experience administering and maintaining an ArcSDE multi-user database. Practical experience with Portal for ArcGIS and web application development. Direct experience with Trimble and Garmin GPS hardware and software. Education:
Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) or Master's (M.S.) degree in Geography or a related field. (M.S. may be used to supplement years of experience). Technical Skills:
Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite. Seniority level
