Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 annually (depending on experience)

About the Position This full-time, in‑office Interior Designer position focuses on the coordinated execution of residential design projects. You will work closely with the Owner / Lead Designer to move projects from early direction through documentation, procurement, and installation. The emphasis of the role is on translating design intent into well‑organized deliverables, maintaining accurate information, and ensuring that project milestones stay on track.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and consistent follow‑through in their design work. Your contribution will help ensure that each project progresses smoothly, details are captured correctly, and the finished home reflects the quality and care expected by Trinity Design.
Responsibilities
Translate the Lead Designer's vision into accurate presentations, drawings, and FF&E documentation
Own assigned design tasks with professionalism, clear communication, and strong follow‑through
Produce and maintain design plans, elevations, specifications, and related materials
Assist with sourcing and selecting furnishings, finishes, lighting, and materials
Manage samples, vendor information, and the organization of the design library
Generate purchase orders, track orders, communicate with vendors, and maintain accurate documentation, including lead times, shipping updates, payments, and receipts
Proactively identify and resolve order issues while keeping the Lead Designer informed
Maintain strong vendor and rep relationships through timely communication and coordination
Keep project boards, calendars, tracking tools, and project milestones up to date, communicating progress proactively when needed
Coordinate receiving, inspection, and storage with the warehouse
Prepare install materials and support installation day logistics and punch‑list follow‑up
Coordinate with contractors and trades using accurate documentation and clear communication
Requirements
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
At least 2 years of experience in interior design or related project coordination role
Ability to read construction documents and understand scale, layout, and detailing
Proficiency in design documentation software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Houzz Pro, Adobe Suite, etc.)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable managing orders, tracking logistics, and coordinating vendors
Positive, accountable, team‑oriented approach
Must be based in or able to commute to Sarasota, FL (this is a fully in‑office role)
