Design Director – Interior Architecture

Job Responsibilities
Lead a team of designers throughout all studio interior design projects
Create and manage timelines and priorities as part of a cross‑functional team and collaboratively meet tight deadlines
Generate and discuss project ideas, moodboards and project design plans with the Principal
Oversee and take responsibility for project management of multiple projects simultaneously (timelines, objectives, outcomes)
Demonstrate a highly organized and systematic approach to producing a project
Complete package of deliverables for project phases
Keep all team members informed of status of projects and deliverables
Coordinate finish plans, specifications, and material selections
Research and source interior products and relevant interior finishes/materials for review
Review and direct Senior Designer & Junior Designers in creating and updating client presentations
Maintain and manage project folders with all related drawings, specs, schedules, etc.
Review quotes and shop drawings
Work closely with team to ensure all drawings and documents clearly and accurately communicate the design intent
Regular meetings with team to review progress and ensure questions and concerns are addressed
Troubleshoot problems and find solutions on construction site to move project forward
Flexibility to work on multiple projects in various stages of development
Work closely with clients
Flexibility to travel
Job Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in interiors
High level drafting using AutoCAD, including space planning, schedules, details of custom furniture, lighting, etc.
Fluent in French and English
Presentation tools including Adobe Suite and basic office software like Microsoft Office
Knowledge of 3‑D computer modeling skills (SketchUp, 3D Max, Rhino, etc.) is a plus
Knowledge of Paris design resources – furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, vendors, artisans
