Job Title Associate Designer on the Ann Mashburn Design Team. Support the team in all aspects of the design and product development process.
Responsibilities
Work directly with the Design Director to develop assigned categories from concept to final product.
Work autonomously or with little guidance within established procedures and practices.
Responsible for creating all tech packs including sketches, technical details, measurements, garment construction instructions, etc.
Responsible for running fitting sessions: prepare samples, measure, inspect, steam; schedule fittings; take detailed notes during fittings; use technical design skills to assist on fitting the garment correctly to ensure the intended fit is achieved.
Communicate all fit comments to the factories.
Track samples through all development stages.
Organize and maintain the sample library.
Communicate and follow up with factories.
Follow the Product Development Calendar to ensure samples are approved on time.
Work directly with the cross‑functional team to communicate updates in a timely manner.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and create actionable plans.
Anticipate potential issues and work to solve them efficiently and effectively.
Essential Skills
1–3 years of design experience.
Comfort working with multiple apparel categories and a “anything is possible” attitude.
Exceptional attention to detail, follow‑through, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and functions in an entrepreneurial organization.
Motivated, resourceful problem solver; proactive, collaborative, and a transparent team player.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Proactive self‑starter mindset that brings new ideas to the team.
Garment construction knowledge.
Ability to build specs and communicate clear, concise fit notes.
Strong technical sketching skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Experience with PLM.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships quickly and influence others.
Adherence to the Product Development Calendar.
