What Your Day Will Look Like As an Interior Designer at SHM, you’ll support the Interior Design Studio across multiple luxury residential and commercial projects. You will be engaged in all phases of design and execution, including:
Contributing to schematic design, design development, contract documents, and project administration
Managing and tracking project schedules, budgets, and additional services
Assisting with finish plans, selections, specifications, and drawing sets
Preparing client presentations and participating in client and contractor meetings
Collaborating with contractors and vendors on FF&E, including selection, specification, proposal management, ordering, tracking, and installation
Maintaining digital and physical material libraries
Applying established interior design standards and best practices
This is a dynamic role for a creative, detail-driven designer who enjoys balancing concept development with real-world execution.

Technical & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (required)
3–6 years of professional experience in interior design (mid-level), ideally including high-end residential or hospitality experience
Ability to curate sophisticated, luxury-minded designs for high-net-worth clientele
Construction document experience
Proficiency with
AutoCAD and/or Revit
Proficiency with
Microsoft Office 365
Exposure to
SketchUp
or
Studio Webware
is a plus
Strong sketching and technical detailing abilities
Licensure not required (in process is a plus)
