About the Opportunity

A well-established national organization in the event logistics and rental industry is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales & Marketing to drive strategic revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen brand visibility. This high-impact executive role will oversee sales operations, marketing strategy, and client engagement across federal, commercial, and event-based markets.

The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with extensive experience in large-scale project management, federal contracting, or event logistics. This position offers significant executive visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to directly shape the company's long-term growth strategy and national market presence.

Key Responsibilities of the Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting federal, commercial, and event sectors.

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing national sales team focused on growth, retention, and profitability.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, contracting officers, and industry partners.

  • Oversee government contracting processes, including SAM registration, GSA schedules, bid submissions, and compliance documentation.

  • Negotiate complex, high-value contracts and partnerships that maximize long-term business performance.

  • Define and track performance KPIs to ensure consistent sales achievement across all markets.

Marketing Strategy

  • Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns that promote large-scale rental and logistics capabilities.

  • Strengthen the company's national brand positioning through digital strategy, content, and event marketing.

  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, proposals, and business development materials that support growth initiatives.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to refine strategy and improve market penetration.

  • Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and government contracting events to elevate brand visibility.

Collaboration and Growth

  • Partner with operations, finance, and logistics teams to align service delivery with sales commitments.

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop innovative pricing, customer engagement, and service strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership

  • 5+ years of experience managing government or federal contracts (RFPs, RFQs, GSA processes)

  • Proven track record of driving growth and achieving national-level recognition or performance awards

  • Strong knowledge of federal procurement standards and large-scale contracting processes

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and experience overseeing multimillion-dollar portfolios

Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Background in event rentals, logistics, or government contracting industries

  • Experience building and scaling high-performing sales and marketing teams
