Responsibilities

Handle New York default matters from initiation through resolution, including litigation strategy and case progression

Review, draft, and file pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement documents

Ensure compliance with New York procedural rules, court requirements, and client and investor guidelines

Manage litigation milestones, default judgment processes, and related deadlines

Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, and risk considerations

Appear in court as needed for hearings and proceedings

Collaborate with internal attorneys and support staff to ensure accurate and timely case handling

Qualifications

Active New York law license in good standing

Prior experience in default practice, creditors’ rights, foreclosure, collections litigation, or a related field

Strong understanding of New York civil procedure and default judgment rules

Ability to manage a caseload in a deadline-driven environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High level of organization, attention to detail, and professionalism
