Job Description
As the Marketing Strategic & Planning Manager, you will be a senior media strategist leading the creation of unique programming for the Hearst Texas Media sales team. You will collaborate with Hearst marketing teams to design programs that leverage Hearst media assets across Texas, proactively provide B2B initiatives to accelerate sales, cultivate relationships, and win new business. Your work will support the strategic media planning team by delivering market insights, developing custom audience strategies, and creating compelling presentations, while also responding to critical RFPs and sales proposals.
Position Requirements
Strong media strategy and planning skills that bring together campaign and sponsorship opportunities across Hearst Texas markets
Ability to tell the story by conveying the campaign vision, strategy, and capabilities
Comfortable presenting and leading calls with clients and leadership
Deep understanding of strategic campaign development, including target demographics, optimal timing, and appropriate mediums
Firm grasp of digital platforms – digital media, native advertising, audience data, and social media
Collaborative mindset to work with sales, marketing, advertising, and product teams for comprehensive plans
Support market research to determine desired customer profiles and strategies
Analytical skills to develop and interpret campaign insights
Creative thinking to help ad campaigns stand out from the competition
Strong communication skills to articulate the vision of an ad campaign to sales executives and clients
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in a fast‑paced agency, sales, and marketing organization
Direct experience working in or alongside sales/marketing functions
Understanding of the B2B sales process and the role of marketing support
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
Highly organized with the ability to shift priorities quickly
Collaborative cross‑departmental teamwork
