Senior Retention & Lifecycle Designer

role at

Grüns . We're hiring a

Senior Retention & Lifecycle Designer

to own and elevate all lifecycle creative across our portfolio of brands. This role is both hands-on and leadership-driven — responsible for setting the creative standard, managing our designer VAs, and ensuring every lifecycle touchpoint feels intentional, on-brand, and compliant. This role is part of our remote HQ; we have a fully remote, high-trust work environment and we come together on a quarterly basis for off-sites to connect IRL. Responsibilities

Own lifecycle design output across email, SMS, direct mail, and emerging lifecycle touchpoints for all brands. Manage, prioritize, and project-manage the workload of designer VAs to ensure predictable timelines and high-quality execution. Partner closely with Brand to maintain cohesive visual expression, brand integrity, and creative vision across lifecycle channels. Act as the creative liaison between Retention and Brand teams, ensuring alignment without slowing velocity. Provide light copy editing and brand-voice gut checks to ensure messaging feels sharp, clear, and on-brand. Implement and enforce compliance-aligned creative guardrails, serving as a second set of eyes before launch. Establish and document lifecycle design best practices, workflows, and QA standards. Continuously improve creative velocity while maintaining a high bar for quality and consistency. Qualifications

4-6 years of experience designing for DTC, CPG, or consumer brands. Experience on lifecycle or performance-focused creative (email, SMS; retention channels preferred). Experience managing junior designers, contractors, or VAs (strong plus). Proficient in Figma or an equivalent design tool. Understanding of lifecycle channels and how design impacts performance and customer experience. Ability to review and lightly edit copy for tone, clarity, and brand alignment. Ability to interpret and apply compliance guidance to creative execution. Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under high volume. Proactive communicator who collaborates well across teams. Balances quality with speed and enjoys building systems that scale. Uses AI and modern tools to improve workflow efficiency. Approach to the role

Exceptionally organized and confident in managing multiple designers and projects at once. Thoughtful leader who supports and develops others while maintaining a high bar. Proactive problem solver who anticipates issues before launches. Open to giving and receiving feedback with clarity and kindness. Customer-first thinking, with consideration for how creative shows up in real inboxes and experiences. Excited to build structure, not just execute tasks. To Apply
