Location: Hybrid – Richmond, VA or McLean, VA or NYC hybrid
Job Description Our Fortune 100 Banking Client is seeking a
User Experience (UX/UI) Designer
to support end-to-end customer experience initiatives. Candidates with prior experience at
Capital One
or similar large financial institutions are highly preferred. This role requires strong hands‑on design expertise, user research skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead
UX/UI design and development
across digital platforms.
Conduct
user research , usability assessments, persona development, and design validation.
Create
user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes , and high‑fidelity UI designs.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business partners to deliver intuitive, customer‑centric experiences.
Apply strong
emotional intelligence
to manage stakeholder expectations and cross‑functional alignment.
Utilize tools such as
Lucid Spark, Figma, Google Suite, Jira .
Design within and apply
Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)
guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven background in
UX/UI design , user research, and journey mapping.
Strong proficiency in
Figma, Lucid Spark, and Jira .
Experience designing within the
Salesforce Lightning Design System .
Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and manage multiple partners.
Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
Portfolio required
showcasing end‑to‑end UX/UI design work.
Former Capital One experience
is a strong plus.
W2 contract role
with
potential contract‑to‑hire
opportunities.
Chance of extension
based on performance.
Candidate must meet
conversion eligibility
requirements.
Hybrid schedule
in Richmond, VA or McLean, VA – onsite presence required weekly.
