The VP, Creative Director (VP, CD) leads the strategic and creative vision for multiple brands and therapeutic areas. This role demands a combination of exceptional creative leadership and strategic partnership with clients, account teams, and other senior leaders. The VP, Creative Director guides and mentors a multidisciplinary creative team, ensuring that the work delivered is innovative, brand-aligned, and meets strategic objectives. The role involves spearheading creative strategy across all channels, staying at the forefront of industry trends, and aligning creative outputs with clients' overarching business goals. The VP, Creative Director plays an essential role in maximizing team performance, improving profitability, and leading new business efforts. Essential duties and responsibilities include overseeing creative strategy and execution across various client brands and indications, collaborating with account and planning teams to define and refine creative briefs, serving as the lead creative contact for clients, fostering strong partnerships with internal and external partners, ensuring that all creative work adheres to medical, regulatory, and legal guidelines, presenting and defending creative concepts to clients, championing accessibility and ensuring that all creative work follows best practices in inclusivity and accessibility, mentoring and developing creative talent, leading new business pitches, seeking opportunities for organic growth, and demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values. In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the responsibility for overseeing their respective department, interviewing, selecting, and supervising the activities of the department staff, determining job objectives, work methods, and performance standards, and authorizing and communicating salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge. Travel (as needed) and hours (minimum 40 hours per week) are expected.
