Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized educational programs to students with visual impairments, ensuring access to the general curriculum. Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments. Assess and monitor students progress, adapting teaching strategies and materials as needed. Assist students in developing skills in orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and daily living activities. Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all educational policies and regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments or equivalent credentials. Proven experience instructing visually impaired students in K-12 educational settings. Strong knowledge of specialized instructional techniques, assistive technologies, and adaptations for visual impairments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families. Commitment to promoting student independence and inclusion within the school community.
