A school district in Cleveland, OH is seeking a dedicated Visually Impaired Teacher to support K-12 students in a contract position. This role involves delivering specialized instruction and services that enhance the educational experience and accessibility for students with visual impairments. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with visual impairments Utilize specialized teaching techniques and adaptive technology to address students' diverse learning needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive learning environments Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly Provide orientation and mobility training to promote student independence Advocate for the academic and social development of visually impaired students within the school community Qualifications: Certification or licensure in Visual Impairment or related field (state-required) Experience teaching visually impaired students in K-12 settings preferred Strong understanding of assistive technology and instructional strategies for visual impairments Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to create supportive and engaging learning environments Location: Cleveland, Ohio This contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and growth of students with visual impairments in a supportive school environment.
