Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 school in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated Visually Impaired Teacher to support students with visual impairments. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction and services designed to enhance learning and independence for students across grade levels. Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in accordance with their IEP goals Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to meet students unique needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective educational plans Provide orientation and mobility training as needed Utilize assistive technologies and tools to facilitate student learning Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or qualifications in visual impairment education Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments Knowledge of assistive technology and teaching strategies for visually impaired learners Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs Location: Omaha, Nebraska (K-12 School) This contract role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by empowering students with visual impairments to succeed academically and personally.
