Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with visual impairments Adapt classroom materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment Provide direct instruction in orientation and mobility, Braille literacy, and assistive technology Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to ensure continued development Desired Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments in educational settings Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility techniques Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt and create accessible instructional materials Location: Little Rock, Arkansas This role offers an exceptional chance to contribute specialized expertise in a supportive school environment dedicated to student success.
