An opportunity is available for an experienced educator specializing in visual impairment to support K-12 students in a school setting. This contract position focuses on delivering tailored instruction and resources to students with visual impairments, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across K-12 grade levels. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students' needs and abilities. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate assistive technologies and accommodations. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt strategies accordingly. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student independence and confidence. Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in visual impairment education. Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) or equivalent credentials. Experience working with visually impaired students in a K-12 educational setting. Strong knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive teaching methods. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
