As a Content Writer at PWI, you will craft clear, engaging written content that strengthens our brand, supports marketing initiatives, and improves customer understanding of our products and services. You will produce a variety of materials—such as blogs, emails, website content, and printed resources—while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and a strong brand voice. Your work helps drive SEO growth, enhance customer experience, and support the overall success of the marketing team.
Responsibilities
Write clear, engaging, brand-aligned content for blogs, web pages, emails, print materials, and marketing campaigns.
Research topics and collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and strong storytelling.
Edit and proofread content for clarity, tone, grammar, and consistency.
Strengthen digital performance through SEO research, optimized structure, keyword placement, and refreshing older content.
Create email content that improves engagement, including stronger open and click‑through rates.
Maintain and update website and blog content to ensure accuracy and alignment with campaign goals.
Review performance data with the Marketing team and adjust content based on insights.
Assist with social media content, podcast development, and other emerging marketing channels as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism, or a related field (required)
3+ years of professional content writing experience (required)
Experience with copywriting is a benefit
Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms is a benefit
Experience with email marketing platforms such as Omnisend is a benefit
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver’s license and able to be insured on PWI insurance
Other Skills & Abilities
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
Ability to research topics and translate technical information into clear, accessible content
Working knowledge of SEO and digital content best practices
Experience with social media management is valuable
Photography or videography experience is a plus
Comfortable with collaborative editing and constructive feedback
Physical Abilities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods, type, and use a computer.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or lift items such as documents, marketing materials, or light equipment (typically under 20 lbs).
The employee frequently communicates with team members in person and by phone.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision for writing and editing, distance vision for reviewing layouts or materials, and the ability to adjust focus.
Cognitive and Communication Abilities
Able to write and communicate clearly in professional, brand‑aligned language
Able to interpret instructions in written and verbal form
Able to apply sound judgment when editing or refining messaging
Able to collaborate effectively with team members and subject‑matter experts
Location
Willing to work on‑site at PWI in Nappanee, Indiana
May be asked to travel by plane or vehicle to various locations. Estimated 5‑10%
