Marketing Lead – Inside Lighting

Location:
Oakland, California Hours:
Full‑Time, Monday‑Friday – Hybrid with 2 days per week in the office (may be more for special events)

Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales & product development teams to create and update sales‑enablement assets (e.g., brochures, web pages, presentations)
Maintain editorial calendar – detailing events, campaigns, and other supporting activities – in coordination with sales & new product launches
Develop, copywrite, and execute outbound marketing communications - such as email blasts, social media posts, and event invitations/outreach/follow‑ups
Coordinate with sales to plan and execute customer experiences (in‑office, factory, and other outside events)
Coordinate with the sales team to determine marketing needs for upcoming events/trade shows (e.g., collateral, swag, samples)
Coordinate shipment of marketing materials & product samples as requested
Accurately enter/update contact information and other key data from sales team into marketing systems
Maintain accurate inventory of marketing materials and product samples (sample library), and advise when re‑orders are necessary
Research industry trends, and identify trending topics to develop thought leadership opportunities and presentations (e.g., AIA‑accredited presentations)
Support the development of email campaigns, blog posts, white papers, case studies, and other content
Develop detailed concepts for customer‑facing videos (such as product features, installation, and case study)
Prioritize multiple projects and deliver highly effective and creative work
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, engineering, architecture/lighting design, or a similar field
3+ years of marketing experience with prior knowledge of the lighting or AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry and a deep understanding of customer needs
Prior experience/knowledge of the lighting/construction industry and key customer personas (e.g., architect, interior designer, engineer)
Understanding of the marketing funnel, and ideating content to target prospects at each stage
A natural curiosity to measure, test, learn, and iterate to get the best results possible
Proficiency with HubSpot Marketing Hub (or equivalent email marketing tools)
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/OneDrive)
Critical problem‑solving skills with a high attention to detail. Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
Valid Passport with ability to travel domestically and internationally (Mexico/Canada) approximately 10% of the time
Compensation Varies based on factors including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Year‑end bonus potential based on individual merit and company performance.
Physical Demands Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer, vision to inspect finished goods, read printed materials and a computer screen; strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
