A global packaging manufacturer with a growing North American presence is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive expansion across the Central U.S. and Canada. With patented technology and U.S.-based offices and warehouses already in place, the company is introducing an innovative polyethylene (PE) meat overwrapping solution to a market long dominated by PVC.

About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll own new business development with meat processors and packers across a multi-state territory. This is a hunter-focused role, responsible for opening doors, running trials, and converting early-stage conversations into long-term customers, while partnering closely with technical and plant teams. You’ll represent the product in-market as an operator, helping establish adoption with major processors. Key Responsibilities
Develop new business with meat processors and packers across the Central U.S. and Canada. Drive cold outreach, networking, and trade show activity to build pipeline. Coordinate and support on-site trials with production, QA, and packaging teams. Manage long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles through commercial conversion. Build and grow customer relationships, including post-conversion upsell. Act as the field link between customers and internal technical and leadership teams. Qualifications
10+ years of sales or business development experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, packaging, or related industries. Existing processor relationships or proven experience selling into plant environments. Strong understanding of packaging trials and operational workflows. Willingness to travel (~40%), including occasional Canada travel. What We Offer
Compensation: $100,000–$140,000 base salary plus performance-based incentive/commission (OTE dependent on results) Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives.
