Alderwood Landscaping is looking for a full-time Landscape Designer / Surveyor to join our Boise, ID team. This role is the perfect blend of creative design, technical drafting, and in-field surveying, so you’ll get plenty of time both behind a monitor and out in the fresh Idaho air. If AutoCAD is your happy place, and you don’t mind braving a little cold weather to get the perfect measurement, we’d love to meet you.
What We’re Looking For:
Expert-level proficiency in
AutoCAD
(bonus points if your layers are cleaner than your car)
Landscape design and horticulture experience preferred
Degree in
Landscape Architecture
preferred
1+ years with a design-build landscape company preferred
Experience in 3D modeling is a plus, especially if your D5 skills can make clients say, “Wait… is that real?”
In-field survey experience is a plus
Creativity, integrity, clear communication, and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently without disappearing into the wilderness
What You’ll Be Doing:
Landscape design drafting, in-field site surveys, and generating base maps in AutoCAD
Working independently while staying connected with a collaborative team
Spending some days outdoors in cold or wet conditions (we consider this “character building”)
Taking direction from supervisors and contributing to team goals
Growing accuracy, speed, and critical-thinking skills as your responsibilities evolve
Delivering designs with the level of quality that makes clients say, “This is my backyard?!”
