Mechanical Designer – HVAC Systems

What You’ll Do
Design HVAC and plumbing systems across a diverse range of building types.
Produce high‑quality plans, schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.
Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout.
Collaborate with associates, clients, and project managers from kickoff through closeout.
Attend client and project meetings as a representative of the mechanical team.
Travel to sites nationwide for surveys, field verification, and documentation.
Ensure deliverables are accurate, coordinated, and completed on schedule.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in mechanical (HVAC/plumbing) design or drafting.
Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Understanding of NEC basics, circuiting, panel schedules, and lighting layouts.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Bonus Points / Nice‑to‑Haves
EIT certification or actively pursuing it.
Willingness to travel for project surveys.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Confident verbal communication and client‑facing ability.
Proven analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
