The Opportunity

Functions as a senior architectural engineering technician, technical design specialist and/or supervisor.

Applies advanced technical expertise to address complex design challenges within the architectural discipline, and contributes to the development of innovative architectural and engineering solutions.

Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.

Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate and set appropriate design and graphic standards.

Review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables.

Promote quality within project/group/section.

Review design inputs to ensure consistency.

Assist in ensuring deliverables are in compliance with the specific codes and standards in force for the project.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of guides and standards, and participate in and lead process improvement activities.

Demonstrate personal accuracy and drive continual improvement and change management efforts.

Apply basic architectural/engineering principles and established design practices in developing complex design concepts and deliverables.

Apply judgment and make decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation.

Handle difficult technical assignments within an area of expertise and provide technical guidance to other professionals.

Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities and estimates, and record reports.

Review the deliverables of others.

Coordinate the presentation, delegate production design, or other electronic applications.

Monitor production to ensure consistency, budget, and schedule of the deliverables.

Coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.

Engage in solving a particular design problem or participate in a design team focused on completing an assigned project task.

Make presentations and conduct training classes within a specialized area of expertise.

Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree:

Drafting or an engineering design related technology (preferred).

Bachelor Degree:

Engineering design related technology (preferred).

Minimum Qualifications Typically a minimum of 11 years of related work experience.

Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment, based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
