About the role
We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering firm seeking a BIM Technician for their Atlanta office. This role supports structural engineering projects ranging from building expansions to large-scale new construction (up to 800,000+ SF). You’ll create accurate models and contract drawings that meet both internal and client design standards while collaborating closely with engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and maintain precise BIM models and contract drawings
Update or refine company standards, templates, and detail libraries
Perform self-checks to ensure quality before final review
Assist with modeling/drafting for projects outside your specialty as needed
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or similar
Hands‑on experience in construction or structural engineering (3+ years)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, and Navisworks
Working knowledge of commercial building codes and structural design references
Ability to work independently or within a team to meet project deadlines
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Grasshopper, Dynamo, Rhino, Civil3D, Tekla
Experience creating custom Revit families
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
