Community Manager
Join Asset Living as a Community Manager, responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of a housing community. You will manage personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administrative and risk management functions while ensuring compliance with Asset Living policies, fair housing guidelines and safety requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Personnel management: screen, hire, train, coach and develop on‑site staff; create schedules and assignments; address performance issues effectively.
Financial management: achieve net operating income through cost control and revenue improvement; develop annual budgets and forecasts; monitor rent collections and vendor invoice reconciliation; ensure accurate property closeout and ownership financial reports.
Strategic leasing management: develop marketing plans; implement effective leasing techniques; handle resident complaints; create and execute resident retention programs; show, lease and move in prospective residents.
Administrative & maintenance management: maintain accurate reporting; oversee emergency response; manage maintenance staff service request turnaround; maintain property appearance and repair schedule; manage property resources and supplies efficiently; supervise maintenance, construction and rehabilitation activities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years of experience in the housing industry; or two years of related experience and/or training.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of on‑site software functions.
Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical & License Requirements
Regular communication with others, repeat motions, ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours.
Stand or sit for prolonged periods, move between worksites, ascend/descend ladders and operate machinery or vehicles.
Reliable transportation needed for emergency on‑call duties.
Benefits & Salary Range Salary Range: $62,000 – $65,000 per year. Full‑time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental and disability insurance, 401K with employer matching, paid sick days and company holidays.
