We are seeking an
Associate Technical Designer
with experience in
kids’ apparel
to support fit, construction, and quality execution across multiple product categories. This role partners closely with Design, Product Development, and Production to ensure garments meet brand standards, fit intent, and children’s safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support fit and construction development for kids’ apparel from development through production
Measure samples and evaluate fit, balance, and workmanship during fittings
Assist with fit sessions by documenting comments, tracking revisions, and updating technical packages
Create and maintain tech packs, including measurements, construction details, and graded specs
Communicate fit and construction corrections to domestic and overseas vendors
Review samples for quality, consistency, and compliance with children’s safety standards
Help maintain fit blocks, size specs, and standards specific to kids’ wear
Track sample progress and support development calendars
Qualifications
2–4 years of Technical Design experience, preferably in kids’ apparel
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading for children’s wear
Knowledge of kids’ safety and compliance standards (CPSIA, trims, labeling)
Proficiency in PLM systems and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field preferred
Experience working with overseas vendors and across multiple kids’ categories is a plus
