Commercial Lines Renewal Marketing Specialist

Description and Requirements
Market client accounts to carrier partners. Support Commercial Lines team by providing marketing analytics, negotiating carrier coverages, and finalizing the market process.
Responsibilities
Work closely with sales executives or account managers to understand client’s Commercial Lines insurance needs.
Develop submissions to carriers and obtain quotes. Respond to underwriters’ inquiries.
Negotiate terms with carriers on client’s behalf.
Educate client on terms, conditions, exclusions, exposures, rates, and premiums.
Complete the marketing process and bind coverage for clients.
Develop knowledge of niche insurance markets for USI clients and build relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives.
Act as a technical expert on market trends, pricing practices, and other underwriting policies.
Contribute to internal USI account strategy meetings.
Support account management team, including resolving non-renewals, rates and terms with carrier partners.
Complete internal company marketing and licensing records.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5+ years of experience in a Commercial Lines agency; college degree preferred.
Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
Must hold or be willing to earn a Property & Casualty insurance license.
Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
Comfortable with internet-based programs and navigating carrier marketing websites.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.
Strong negotiation, problem solving, and communication skills.
Keep informed about industry information, technology, and trends.
