Description HC Brands is seeking an Email & SMS Marketing Assistant with proven skills to help lead email marketing implementation across our family of brands. We are looking for a team player that is passionate about their marketing career and measures their success by driving results through traffic and sales. In this role you will create well targeted, creative marketing communications that engage customers, increase repeat rates, and maximize lifetime value.
The email & SMS marketing Assistant will plan and execute campaigns, maintain healthy and growing customer files, and segment customers for personalized marketing. The email & SMS marketing Assistant will be committed to A/B testing, stay up to date with LTV marketing best practices, measure the effectiveness of each campaign and report on campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities The email & SMS marketing Assistant’s responsibilities will include:
Proactive Management:
Demonstrate ownership by actively managing and enhancing the online marketing presence with initiative and commitment.
Goal Setting:
Clearly define and articulate campaign goals and objectives to align with sales goals broader marketing strategies.
Customer Insight:
Utilize customer research and feedback to deeply understand customer needs, making decisions that are aligned with customer preferences and improving customer engagement.
Calendar Execution:
Efficiently execute the email and SMS marketing calendar, ensuring timely and coordinated campaign execution.
Campaign Execution:
Work with channel managers to plan, develop, and launch targeted email and SMS campaigns across various brands to engage customers and drive results.
Segmentation and Personalization:
Develop detailed customer segmentation to enable personalized marketing efforts.
Optimization Through Testing:
Conduct A/B testing to refine and enhance campaign creatives, messaging, and segmentation for optimal performance.
List Growth:
Actively work on expanding the email and SMS customer lists to broaden reach and engagement.
Deliverability & Compliance:
Monitor and improve email deliverability by ensuring proper implementation of authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), list hygiene practices, and compliance with CAN-SPAM and other applicable regulations.
Performance Monitoring:
Track, report, and analyze campaign performance metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates, sharing insights with key stakeholders.
Data-Driven Improvements:
Analyze campaign data to identify opportunities for performance enhancement and implement recommendations for optimization.
Program Evolution:
Continuously assess and introduce new opportunities to advance marketing programs, ensuring they remain competitive and effective.
Brand Alignment:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the brand's voice, guidelines, mission, and vision to ensure consistency and authenticity in all marketing communications.
Accountable metrics:
Email & SMS Revenue, List Growth Rate, YOY Traffic Growth, CTR and CLTV
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in business, communications, economics, design, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
Email Marketing Experience:
Direct involvement in email and/or SMS marketing campaigns for e-commerce websites is crucial.
Campaign Development Skills:
Proficiency with MailChimp preferred OR experience with similar tools like Constant Contact, Klaviyo, or similar tools.
Analytics Expertise:
Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools to understand user behavior and site performance is necessary.
Collaborative Skills:
Must excel in influencing, communicating, and collaborating across various teams and organizational levels.
AI Forward:
Eager to use AI to create content, images and campaign concepts.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills are critical for ensuring the quality and accuracy of marketing communications.
Microsoft Office Proficiency:
Confidence in using Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Teams, to manage data, communicate ideas, and collaborate.
Professional Attributes:
A results-driven approach, creativity, teamwork, flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines are key traits.
Design Proficiency:
Basic graphic design skills, with experience in Canva or Adobe applications, are beneficial.
Technical Knowledge:
