About the Role Reporting to our Supply Chain Manager, we are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Expeditor who will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials and components from suppliers to meet production schedules. This role focuses on proactive management of delivery risks, escalation handling and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
This role is critical in ensuring our Supply Chain resilience, compliance and continuous improvement across our US supply chain. You will help us scale a robust supply chain for our US operations, ensuring on‑time‑in‑full, excellence in delivery performance and development of strong customer relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing General Supplier Management
Assist in audits and performance reviews focusing on quality, delivery and standards compliance
Collaborate to implement cost reductions, lead‑time improvements and sustainability initiatives
Monitor supplier capacity and proactively manage risk of material shortages
Collaborate with peer teams to validate supplier capabilities and certifications
Delivery Management
Utilize cycle‑counting information to assess stock levels, ensuring replenishment timelines do not affect production schedules.
Monitor ongoing supplier delivery schedules and identify potential delays early
Proactively escalates and resolves delivery issues with suppliers to prevent production impact
Work with peer teams to ensure all suppliers have clarity on future schedules and can meet requirements
Assist in the supplier escalation processes, including root cause analysis and resolution tracking
Coordinate with internal teams (planning, procurement and manufacturing) to implement recovery plans
Supplier Communication & Relationship Management
Support the supplier validation and onboarding process
Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding delivery commitments
Build strong relationships to improve responsiveness and collaboration during escalations through clear communication, proactive management
Data Analysis & Reporting
Track and report delivery performance metrics (OTD, lead times, escalation frequency)
Provide internal escalation where KPI trends start to indicate negative supplier performance
Ensure robust supplier capacity planning, scheduling, resourcing, milestone tracking and reporting
Use ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate delivery status and update stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
Identify recurring issues and work with suppliers and internal teams to implement corrective actions
Support initiatives to reduce lead times and improve supply chain resilience
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., APICS, CIPS)
5+ years in supply chain, procurement, or expediting roles within manufacturing environments
Experience in managing supplier performance management, escalations and recovery plans
Strong negotiation and communication skills for supplier engagement
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple escalations simultaneously
Analytical mindset with proficiency in ERP / MRP systems and Microsoft products
Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with a proactive approach
Demonstrated commitment to ensure our business goals and your functional goals are met / exceeded
Ability to travel is required – approx. 60%‑70%
