Could you be the full-time onsite Material Expeditor in Naperville, IL, US we’re looking for?
Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your logistics and coordination expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative teammates. You'll ensure the seamless flow of materials necessary to keep our projects on track and meet our high standards of excellence. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Procurement, Quality Assurance, Production), manage supplier's portfolio for ensuring goods delivery at the right time, quantity, and place based on Alstom needs, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
Coordinating with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules
Negotiating with suppliers for better terms when necessary
Tracking shipments and updating internal teams on the status
Ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and company policies
Collaborating with Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Production teams
Managing supplier portfolios to ensure timely delivery of goods
Utilizing ERP systems, preferably SAP, for supply chain management
Applying supply chain and inventory management principles
Identifying and mitigating potential supply chain risks
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. (An Associate’s Degree is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.)
Experience or understanding of supplier relationship management and procurement processes
Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Understanding of import/export regulations
