Job Summary
The Corporate Health and Communications Advocate (CHCA) maintains closed-loop internal communication platform, assist in the marketing of service lines and community events, and foster opportunities to elevate the Matagorda County Hospital District’s standing with members of the press, district employees, medical staff members, referring physicians, and community influencers. The CHCA supports the health and growth-based programs. The CHCA develops and fosters a positive relationship with area employers and their employees. Works with the local employers on obtaining four lines of revenue; occupational health, workers’ compensation, general health, and preventative health. The CHCA advises physicians, physician offices/clinics, insurance companies, third party administrators, claims companies and hospital departments to increase revenues for hospital, clinics and aligned physicians. The CHCA assists with implementation, proactively with issue spotting and problem solving to ensure superior customer satisfaction. This position is a contract position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES List essential duties and responsibilities
Support implementation of new clients with various implementation activities
Supports Marketing Department with strategies and project implementation
Model behavior to promote a positive caller/client experience
Collaborates with health care team and SCP Health Service Coordination to support client specific strategies
Research markets and competitors and maintain a working prospect list of employers to identify growth opportunities
Enroll employers as clients of the hospital in Health Growth Programs
Participate in discussions with prospects or clients to understand the business needs, architect the solution set and present the offering as needed
Develop occupational health and wellness proposals for services for employers
Create and present ideas to District Director of Ancillary Services and, hospital team to expand client service offerings
Collaborate with hospital team on a regular basis to review key performance metrics and drive strategies for performance enhancement
Maintain company profiles on R/drive and ensure regular distribute to hospital or clinic designated location (OMIT)
Schedule and coordinate wellness and risk management activities and/or events utilizing hospital’s resource team and services lines to include administered programs to ensure the quarterly goal is achieved. Events include but are not limited to: Health Events, Ergo Assessments, Benefit talks, Wellness/Safety Talk, Risk Assessment, Facility Tour, etc. depending on hospital’s resources and services lines
Attend meetings, training, and education needed to perform duties and responsibilities.
Accurately complete & submit all reports timely
Maintain positive customer relationships with hospital family team and employers/employees.
Work with physicians and clinics to provide services to hospital family team, employer and employees
Coordinate with hospital team to ensure customer satisfaction and prompt resolution of any client concerns
Update EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of any problems, concerns, challenges, barriers or success
Schedule:
Position is remote/ home based but does require onsite presence for meeting and job site presentations.
This position will require travel to employer, event and corporate locations, as well as travel locations as assigned.
Flexibility with schedule to work in a 24/7 365 environment with schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
Previous Experience
Two years sales, insurance, workers’ comp, occupational health, wellness, or account representation/maintenance experience preferred
Background or experience in Health Education a plus
