Mechanical Designer/Drafter
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter responsible for solid modeling of various parts, including tubing, castings, machine parts, adapters, and components across all product lines. You will design and re-design existing drawings using Solidworks, focusing on drafting and designing small parts. Your role will support engineering by modifying existing drawings and sometimes creating new designs. Responsibilities: Perform solid modeling of parts, piece parts, tubing, castings, machine parts, adapters, and components. Design and re-design existing drawings using Solidworks. Draft and design small parts and assemblies. Support engineering by modifying existing drawings and creating new designs when necessary. Essential Skills: Proficiency in Solidworks with at least 3 years of experience or 1 year of experience in Creo. Minimum Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design. At least 1 year of experience in the design of castings, tubing, machine parts, adapters, weldments, and/or fixtures. Minimum 1 year of experience working in a mechanical/industrial environment with mechanical parts, castings, weldments, and/or machine parts. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in the industrial/mobile equipment industry is a plus. Strong consistency and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and a desire to learn. Work Environment: This role is within a fast-paced environment with frequent daily interruptions. You will not be responsible for prioritizing work, with tasks divided as 60% drafting and 40% design. You will support all product offerings and interface with 3-5 engineers daily, taking work direction from a design manager. While expected to work autonomously after receiving work direction, there is no time allocated for training. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
