ProSidian seeks a Technical Writer/Editor to provide professional and administrative support for procurement and management services in the Environmental Management Industry Sector, supporting Department of Energy (DOE) clients.
Job Overview
Provide services and support as a Technical Writer/Editor in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Program / Project Management Solutions for DOE-PASS. This contract contingent or W‑2 position may convert to full‑time.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex technical data into clear, concise information for various audiences.
- Prepare proposals by evaluating, editing, formatting content to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to guidelines.
- Compile, edit, format technical documentation, reports, and proposals meeting established standards.
- Review written materials for grammar, consistency, and technical accuracy, revising as needed.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and teams to gather information and clarify technical content.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 3–5 years of experience in technical writing or editing, preferably in engineering, IT, or government.
- Experience assisting with or writing proposals.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, communications, English, or related field.
Skills Required
- Simplify and communicate complex technical information clearly for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and grammar skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe.
- Problem‑solving and critical thinking.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders.
Work Environment and Expectations
- Primarily office‑based, with potential remote work depending on policies.
