Position Summary: The Paid Social Media Buyer is responsible for developing, executing, and reporting on paid social media campaigns across platforms including Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube to promote and drive traffic to products and services. The Buyer will help the digital marketing team achieve marketing goals by reaching KPIs for each social channel and managing paid media campaign set‑up in native platforms such as Meta Business Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, TikTok Business Center, and YouTube DV360.
Work Schedule: Flexible/hybrid – 3 in‑person days at one of our core locations (Chicago, IL; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Hyattsville, MD) and 2 remote days.
Eligibility: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement media strategies for the company's advertising assets across social media platforms
- Effectively establish bid price ceilings to keep pricing down while maximizing reach potential
- Use Ahold Delhaize USA first‑party data to target audience lists within each social platform
- Build and manage relationships with advertisers and agencies to deliver effective media campaigns
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams—sales, marketing, analytics, product—to ensure campaigns align with overall business goals
- Help increase brand awareness by running targeted advertising campaigns to consumers who have expressed interest in similar products and who live in similar geographic areas
- Meet regularly with partners (via video conference and in person as needed) to strengthen relationships
- Provide weekly insights and optimizations to key departments and partners with invested interest in campaign delivery
Qualifications
- Experience with Business Manager and ad account management for Meta, Pinterest, and Google DV360
- Knowledge of social media ad types—image, video, carousel, co‑branding—and best practices for creating and targeting effective advertisements
- Proficiency in social media analytics, including real‑time performance tracking and identification of improvement areas
- Understanding of digital marketing team KPIs and goals to deliver targeted media efficiently
- Staying current on the latest trends, research, and techniques across all social media platforms and digital ad serving environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Ability to plan, execute, measure, and report on multiple campaigns with multiple partners per day
- Ability to work effectively with partners both at home and in office as needed
Salary Range:
- ME/NC/PA/SC: $75,040 – $112,560
- IL/MA/MD/NY: $86,320 – $129,480
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
