Telephone Operator – Telecommunications at Hawaii Pacific Health, Straub Benioff Medical Center

Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center is a 159‑bed hospital in Honolulu that serves more than 32 specialties. As a member of the Telecommunications Department, you will provide a professional call‑routing service, support emergency response coordination, and ensure reliable communications for staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Operate the telephone switchboard, directing calls to appropriate departments and personnel.
• Provide courteous customer service to internal and external callers.
• Assist with emergency response coordination following established protocols.
• Maintain efficient communication services to support employees and clients of Straub.
• Act as a professional customer‑service bridge using telecommunications systems and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
